So these pictures are just a few examples of the leaves I have collected and pressed to potentially use for this project. If I am going to be fastening found leaves/plants onto a dead tree branch, I am most likely going to be using freshly plucked leaves closer to when we will have critique. I downloaded the app that Jacque recommended (iNaturalist) and uploaded these pictures to see if anyone could help me identify the trees/leaves. However, after doing a little of my own research I think I have identified several of them. I was definitely inspired by the Chasing Ghosts video we watched by Grizzly Creek Films; I want to delve deeper into the lake shores and into the brush to find as many different types of leaves as possible. The blackberries were not always the easiest to access because of how thorny the vines were, and they were mangled in deep, dark places around the bushes and bases of trees. That's just a little insight on how I want to submerge myself into these habitats to find various species. Anyway, these are the leaves I have identified so far.
