I think Lombardi's drawings can be seen as very foundational for the conceptual art movement. Like the article discussed, Lombardi's drawings acted as a window to his thought process. They also act as an intersection between visual arts and research.
ReplyDeleteScrolling through, a lot of the drawings seemed to depict thought webs or linking things together. This is an interesting way to use words and pictures to discuss deep issues without explicitly saying what he is thinking/researching. Lombardi's drawings seem to give insight on how we can display the research we have been doing for our final project to incorporate it into the actual display of the piece.
